The End

A couple of weeks ago the people who organize the Spookfest regatta invited the 110's to participate. It is a one day event put on by the Bristol Yacht Club with some good, hard racing followed by food, beer and a band playing at the Guck boat shop down the road. Lasers, A-Class catamarans, 110's and more. Sounds like a bit of fun. Unfortunately the people in charge of weather came up short and I am typing this while my son and I are still in our pajamas at 11:00 watching a lot of rain and forecasted gusts to 45 knots instead of sailing out to the start line. Next year will be a different story, though, and we have already been invited to participate then. We had interest from at least five boats with two week's notice this year so next year's fleet should be quite good.

Until then, I guess we can call the 2006 racing season over. I need to go find my skis.
