2007 Schedule
Well it's back to work for me today so I thought I would post the 2007 District I Schedule so everyone can see it. Here is what we have planned for this summer:
June 16-17 110 Boston Bay Challenge Cup, Hull YC HT Sat 1300 Sun 1354
July 14-15 Newport Regatta 110 Atlantic Coast Champs
July 28-29 District I Champs Hull YC High tide Sat 1100 Sun 1145
Aug 18 or 19 Nationals Tune up? Site TBD
Aug 23-26 Nationals CORK
Sept 22-23 New England Champs Portland Maine High tide Sat 1430 Sun 1500
Oct 27 SpookFest Bristol YC
As you can see we have one regatta a month with July being the exception. The reason for this is to try and get as many boats to attend the events while still allowing local racing to continue.
Who would be up for a Nationals Tune up event? Maybe we could do a 1 day practice/tune up event and maybe have some coaching go along with it. We could consider Falmouth YC or Newport as potential venues unless someone has another idea.
The other issue is our friends in Ocean City, NJ. are coming out of their slumber and are starting to make some noise about hosting an event. Anyone care to comment about an OC event?

Josh and I have been on standby for a NJ regatta a couple of times in recent history and they are the ones who pulled the plug. If they actually run an event then people might show up.
Not fair Mark, you and Josh know who you were dealing with in OC. I'm doing my best to do a 90's type re-birth down here and Brian Huntsman and I are doing this together. We have a lot of boats and think we can get it flying again. Please call ME w/ any questions. Josh has my numbers. Best regards and happy new year to the whole fleet. Brian
Brian, do you think you can rally some of the NJ boats to come up to some of the New England events?
Brian and I are up for it, afterwards George Kelly is a good possibility and my brother Steve. Nats may not work for me this year, but we'll see. Brian
